After last not having a fixture last week we returned to action with a home game against fellow promotion hopefuls Harlow Harrow. Having inflicted Rusthall's first defeat of the season in the last few weeks we knew that today's opponents were going to be far from easy.
With only Leon Piscina and Dan Gurney being unavailable for this game we lined up with James in goal, a back four of Bridges, Herbert, Chambers and Hunt. Today's wide men were M Faulkner and Teuma with Thompson partnering Bowen in the middle. Up front were Warner and Rosier. Thomas and Poore were this weeks subs.
Unfortunately today we never really got going or played the football that we know we are capable of, however we can be proud of the fact that we never gave up and in the end dug in and earnt ourselves a hard fought draw. Hadlow Harrow are one of the better sides that we have played this year and on a day when we didn't really do ourselves justice, a point was probably a fair result. Although i'm sure that our visitors will feel hard done by.
After failing behind twice, we managed to fight back. Glen made sure that we were level at half time with a snap shot from inside the area and after failing behind again midway through the second half, Faulks equalised with a excellent free kick.
Not many positives to take from todays match and we know that if we are to get any success this year we must play better, but we also know that Hadlow will take points from the others sides at the top of the table so a point today was not too bad at all.
With no game next week, we return to action on the 29th with an away game against The Hilberts.
