Tonbridge Invicta 3 v 0 Sittingbourne Lions - Cup Rd 2
Invicta prgressed to the next round of the Ron Hamer Trophy againat a spirited 10 men of Sittingbourne Lions. Invicta went ahead ion 2 mins when the keeper gifted Chris Hermitage the ball from a goal kick and he put it into an empty net. The score remained unchanged to half time with the keeper making amends with some excellent stops from Dangerfield, Teddy and Mason. Invicta stepped up the pace early in the second period and with Jack Freke moving into the centre of midfield, Invicta passed the ball much better and started to create better openings. Dangerfield made it 2-0 on 50 mins and Mason 3-0 on 60 mins settled the tie. A number of chances went begging in the final 20 mins with Dangerfield missing 3 golden opportunties. Jack Freke was man of the match with Matt Thompson, Luke Huartson and Teddy providing quality 90 minute performances. Invicta return to league action next week with a tough encounter away at Bredhurst.
