 d and Huartson on long term injury\, Invicta welcomed back Josh Poore 
 to the squad for a game that proved as tight as the scoreline suggeste
 d. Chances were at a premium as both defences dominated in the first p
 eriod. Invicta's best chance fell to Dangerfield on 35 mins but he sho
 t wide after good work from Willers. Teddy and Hermitage were combinin
 g well on the left but the final ball to the front two was not quite t
 here from the midfield quartet. Leybourne were competing well and show
 ed why they were giving all the top teams a close game. \n\nThe breakt
 hrough came 5 mins in to the second half when Holmes fed Willers and h
 e dribbled his way to the by line and set up Hermitage to blast home f
 rom 6 yards. Leybourne pushed on and despite leaving gaps at the back 
 Willers and Dangerfield could not secure a second goal. That left Whit
 tome\, Freke and Phillips to hold firm at the back\, with Teddy deputi
 sing at left back playing well in Thomo's boots. Despite some late sca
 res Invicta held on with Freke making some great blocks to avoid Faulk
 ner having to perform any heroics.\n\nThis was a very hard earnt win a
 nd the return fixture will be no easier at Cobdown
