Tonbridge Invicta 0 v 5 Blue Eagles

Invicta were second best in all departments today as Blue Eagles took revenge on their cup exit by Invicta the previous week. Despit only being 1-0 down at the break with the home defence under heavy pressure Invicta could not get a grip on the game in the second period. A further 4 goals followed as Eagles were finding their players at ease and finished very well giving Faulkner no chance. Invicta hope to have a bigger squad to select from next week and competition for places can begin in earnest. Well done to Dave Stengel who made his debut today coming on in the last 20 mins and gave a good account of himself. MoM went to Matt Thompson for having to absorb much of the attacking pressure and getting the team going in the final 15 mins as he moved into midfield.
