Orpington Rovers B 4 - 0 Tonbridge Invicta Hurricanes
12th November 2006
This Sunday saw us have to take
an afternoon trip to visit high flying Orpington Rovers.
Making a couple of changes from the previous week took
a while to settle in, but against very strong opposition
the team defended well and launched several attacks when
the opportunity arose, and were confident that they could
get something out of the game when at half time the scores
were level at nil, nil.
The second half started with Orpington Rovers pressing
home their strengths and in the middle of the half scored
four goals which some thought had sealed the game. But
true to form the Hurricanes never gave up and had several
chances late in the game to get goals back.
Man of the Match for his tenacity and hard work this
week was Oli Smitherman
Next Sunday the 19th sees a home fixture vs. Chipstead
Colts in a Cup first round match at Weald of Kent School.
