Invicta went down at Battlebridge on Sunday but can again feel pleased with their effort and commitment.

An early goal from the home side shook Invicta but to their credit they came back strongly and the first half was fairly evenly matched with further chances to both sides. Unfortunately for Invicta the second half began the same as the first with another Battlebridge goal but Ben Skinner immediately got one back from a free kick. However the home teams captain was starting to take control and they put the game out of Invicta’s reach with ten minutes to go.

For Invicta Gareth Hughes had an impressive game in midfield and Joel Scott made several fine saves which led to him collecting the Man of the Match trophy.
