Another great performance by all involved today.

The match started at a high tempo but play seemed to be bogged down for long periods of time in the midfield, with both teams struggling to find a breakthrough.

Good defending from both teams prevented any real chances in the first half and only a great save from the Darwin keeper kept a corner out as three different Hurricanes all had a shot on goal.

Just before half time a great volley from a corner put Darwin in front.

The great pace in which the game had started continued into the second half and it became a real end to end battle.

Unfortunately for The Hurricanes, Darwin took their chances better and were soon 4 – 0 up.

The Hurricanes heads did not once go down and they continued to battle on and finally got the deserved goal.

After watching Thomas, Joe, Joshua and Adam all come so close to making a breakthrough the ball made it way to Billy and for the second time in the match he fed a lovely ball through to Thomas who with great skill and calmness scored his third goal this season.

The game ended and although The Hurricanes were defeated again, the signs are there that each player is starting to claim a place in the team next season when they switch to eleven aside.

Mentions today for Brady, a good strong performance in midfield, blocking and tackling all over the middle of the park.

Billy who played a fantastic pass to Tom for his goal and; for this weeks Player of the week, Joe.

Who battled on throughout the game despite being hit, where it’s just not nice to be hit, and a hard kick in the stomach, a real trooper today and a deserved winner of the trophy.
