Tatsfield Colts 3 - 0 Tonbridge Invicta Hurricanes

by admin last modified 2007-07-08 16:49

Date: 19th February 2006

Everyone tried really hard again today, on a real muddy winter pitch with a 45 degree slope added for good measure!

Highlights of the game included a blatant penalty appeal turned down after Billy Daus was clearly knocked over in the box after a dazzling run through the Tatsfield defence with the score still at 0-0, and other chances for seemingly just about every Invicta player that just could not get converted into goals :-(

One important learning point from today is we need to get better at passing the ball, and quickly, rather than trying to dribble our way through the opposition's defence. This was probably the only real difference today between the 2 teams. We must continue to practice this at this at training before our next match.

Well played in particular to Joe, Will & Tom for a great effort and especially to Adam Moseley and Billy for really top performances. Aiden takes this weeks player of the week award for giving it 1000% today as well as his excellent attitude and effort at Friday night training.
