Away to the bottom club. I am not being arrogant or over confident when I say I would have expected us to win this game by a margin of at least 3 clear goals. If we had maintained our early season form we would of but at the moment we seem to be stumbling towards the finish line..! As long as we get there I am sure it doesn't really matter.. This time of the season is all about winning games.

We were down to the bare seven this week, Kieran M came in for the absent Kane F and had his first full game in many weeks, he performed very well and proved what he can do if he concentrates the whole done. Well done Kizza....

Invicta had many chances in the first half fallin g mainly to Ryan H and Kane J. Playing downhill was causing a bit of a problem as the ball was running away from them as they were preparing to shoot. Ryan and Kane J have formed a very good partnership in their first competitive season together and have run many a defence ragged as a duo. It is refreshing to see two young boys passing the ball to each other and working as a team within a team, well done...

Elmstead scored first about 15 minutes in when a bobbling ball somehow found it way through Stanley in goal. He is human!.....

Now for the bit I really didn't fancy writing up!... Five minutes later a bouncing ball saw Sam G strike a beauty from not far in the oppositions half that flew over the goalkeepers head and into the back of the net. A great strike and a great goal....

Half time ended 1-1. We had the lion’s share of the play but also needed resolute defending from Luke B and Sam G to keep Elmstead at bay.

The second half saw us again dominate without having a great deal to show for it. Elliot C battled on bravely up and down the left despite taking a whack on the ankle. Our winner came courtesy of a Elmstead O.G and for the second week running I was glad to hear the final whistle. A wins a win......

Man of the match as voted by the parents and the first recipient of the "Twig of Excellence" - Sam Greehy
