After following my expertly put together directions we managed to arrive with kick off only 10 minutes away. Any volunteers for match day co-ordinator please take one step forward...
Eversley had inflicted a heavy result on the “Spitfires” the previous week so a little bit of payback was the order of the day. We started strongly and put some good moves together our first goal came from a corner that went straight in. Eversley were the most physical team we had played this season and were not afraid to “tackle strongly”, this I enjoyed! Not for any personal payback for back chat throughout training sessions but just to see how the boys would react. . The boys stood up to the challenge well... Not only were they as committed as the opposition but the football they played on a boggy pitch was excellent.
Stanley Hill had a great game in goal reading the game well and diving bravely at the opposition’s feet and I mean bravely as a stray foot or knee was never to far away. Sam and Luke battled at the back restricting a good side to just one goal.
The midfield guys and the forwards played excellent football with some very impressive goals being scored. The halt time score was 4-0 but I didn’t believe the game was over. Ryan and both Kanes continue to link well when creating chances. Elliot and Keiron are both getting more confident with each game which is great to see.
By the end of the second half another 5 goals had been added. Make no mistake despite the score line this was no easy game and the boys had to be on top of their games to get the right result.
Well done to you all…..
Man of the Match as voted by the “travelling army” was Kane Joseph…..
Question – If anyone knows how to keep tea warm please advise Tracy.
